Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Polished (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Polished is a personal AI coaching tool that analyzes practice videos and photos you upload and returns informational feedback. Feedback is generated by an AI model (currently Google Gemini) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, to use Polished. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. Notify us at hello@polished-app.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You retain ownership of the content (videos, photos, notes) you upload. By uploading content, you grant Polished a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Store and display the content back to you inside the Service.
• Send the content to our AI processors (e.g. Gemini) for the sole purpose of generating feedback for you.
• Use de-identified or aggregated information to improve the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload.
• You have permission from every identifiable person appearing in your uploads, or that person is yourself.
• Your content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, hateful, or that depicts a person without their consent.
• Upload content of minors unless you are the parent or legal guardian.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or bypass any security or access controls of the Service.
• Resell, sublicense, or use the Service to provide a competing service.
• Submit content with the intent of manipulating, poisoning, or exfiltrating our AI models.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Feedback is informational and coaching-only. It is not professional pageant judging, legal advice, medical advice, or any other professional service. Polished does not guarantee any pageant outcome, score, or improvement. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the feedback.

The Service is currently in beta. Features may change or be removed without notice. Data may be reset, lost, or migrated between releases. There is no uptime, performance, or availability guarantee during the beta. Use the Service at your own risk.

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by emailing hello@polished-app.com. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of AI-generated output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polished and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or pageant outcome arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Polished and its operators from any claim or demand arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will bump the consent version and re-prompt you to accept the new terms before you can continue using the app.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that jurisdiction.
